My work begins and ends with a passionate engagement with the ever wondrous possibilities of paint, the inexhaustible beauties of colours released from their pots and tubes to strut and fret upon their stage, the canvas. Abstract? Yes. But images emerge from the tensions set up between the comfort of the preplanned and the dangerous adventures of accident and abandon. Veils of colour reveal, conceal. Places seen.
