I carve stone using traditional hand techniques and modern cutting equipment. I am currently working on phase 2 of the Watermark development in Gateshead, as well as a number of private commissions. I am most interested in doing work that links in with architecture, and the fabric of a building.

As a material, stone bears witness to the transitions of the planet. Locked into stone are traces of the origins of the universe and life itself. From this material I sculpt images that shift from abstract to figurative, from the purely formal to the emotional.
